What Is Knee Arthroscopy?
Knee Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that provides access through the skin and other soft tissues, sans large incisions. As a diagnostic and surgical procedure for treating various knee problems, arthroscopy is performed by inserting a small camera known as an arthroscope into the knee joint. The camera then flashes images on the video monitor, guiding miniature surgical instruments to fix the problem.
It is recommended for treating problems related to kneecap, infection, removal of synovial tissue, partial removal and repair of meniscus, and reconstruction of ligaments.
